CIRCUS
We love circus! We do shows, roving performers or teaching workshops.
Our workshops are always popular as they are designed for all ages and all skill levels. Circus workshops keep children active both physically and mentally as it improves co-ordination and focus whilst building confidence, strength, balance, flexibility and social skills. The classes also increase team skills and encourages the children to make new friends. The workshops can be used as a one off for a birthday party or reward at school or for corporate personal development days, or can be booked on a regular basis giving people the opportunity to excel in circus skills working towards a final performance.
We teach a wide range of traditional and modern circus skills including juggling, plate spinning, unicycle, stilt walking, poi, diablo, devil sticks, hula hoops, ribbons, acro plus much more.
Specialised coaches trained in circus teach in a way that is easy to comprehend and help students to develop the skills in a manner best suited to them so they in turn can develop their own style. Circus skills are very left brain, right brain. These skills help develop and improve strength, balance, flexibility and social skills.
Anyone and everyone can learn a skill of the circus, it’s simply a matter of giving it a go. Circus is very adaptable and unique depending on how and what the individual perceives and conceives. Circus allows its participants to express artistically a whole new side of themselves. Circus opens up a new world often left unexplored. The skills learnt often never leave the person. Circus skills are often used by people to improve balance, coordination, exercise, as a relaxation method or simply for enjoyment. Circus is no longer a “secret” and is now more than ever being taught to schools, the community and whoever wants to learn.
Our circus shows can range from 2 or 3 performers and are about 30 minutes long.
Our roving performers will do a range of tricks including unicycling, juggling, diablo, devil sticks, shaker cups, hoops plus more depending on the location and theme.
